Block versus Charge is big but not the worst call from last night....this is....

Check this out...this is by far the worst call of the night no question....

If you watch the replay of that final drive....

Ej drives - collides with Niang and throws the ball up left handed....Niang was in great position because Withey was on the low left block....

After that shot, withey comes across the lane, jumps into an ISU defender knocking them to the ground, and tips ball away which drops into EJ hands...in that sequence, if the right call had been made 30 seconds earlier, Withey would not have been on the court and no other jayhawk had the length to make that play....

IMO everyone is making a big deal out of the charge/block call, but the real story was this foul.....there's no way the referee could make that call...lucious actually got knocked towards the player they eventually called the foul on.....

Im done....hope team can bounce back and play as well as they did last night in Oklahoma, if so, we will win that game!!!

This and Babb diving for the ball and getting a foul call were just pathetic.

If you watch the final five minutes...

-Withey gets about 10 fouls. Collective crowd booing after each one.

-Chris Babb phantom foul gives KU 2 points.

-If I remember correctly, after Georges Niang 3, KU shoots 3, misses, off KU hands, out of bounds. Officials listen to Bill Self and KU retains possession.

    -Missed charge.

-Georges Niang bullcrap foul gives KU 2 points.

Re: Block versus Charge is big but not the worst call from last night....this is....

I think at around the 4 minute mark Whithey had a moving screen where he shoved our guard. Since I'm never watching this game again I can't verify, but I believe the refs then went ahead and executed a make up call with his charge going to hoop against Georges on one of the next possessions.

It seems clear to me that refs were in over their head last night for whatever reason. I've never been a fan of the un-written "swallowing the whistle" policy. I hope these guys get their future games in the B12 cut significantly if they can't handle the situation.

    Terrible job.

Re: Block versus Charge is big but not the worst call from last night....this is....

Agree. There was one terrible call or no-call after another that all added up to overtime for us.

I heard some Hawk homer guy from where I have no idea on AM1600 out of CR this afternoon. I didn't hear the first part of the discussion, but they were talking about the game last night and he said something like, "You can say the calls lost ISU the game but there are many plays during the game that the players control that impact the outcome of the game." No ****, Einstein. What we're ****** about is blatantly awful calls that the players have NO control over that directly impacted the outcome of the game regardless of the plays that transpired before and after. Now go count the 4-star recruits in Iowa's football class and get back to me when you find one.

I haven't hated KU and OSU this much since Ostertag and Big Country were pushing people around.

agreed the non call doesnt bother me AT ALL.. its the holding call, and the fact that withey was still in the darn game.. without him i there, ISU gets the final couple boards, and game is history... most freaking absurd call by the ref giving the foul to another jayhawk, one of the worst if not worst jacked up plays ive ever seen. IT wasnt even close.. Withey basically close lined the guy. The fans started counting him out, he sat down, then came back in! WTF

This. I didn't notice it at the game but last night I watched it on DVR. It's absolutely disgraceful that Withey didn't foul out on that play. That was by far the worst bit of officiating all night. By far.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

KU fans are all up in arms about Withey's 3rd foul (which probably was wrong) but they ignore the fact that the dude had a DOZEN fouls and couldn't even foul out when he was trying to foul out. This makes them the worst fans in the universe.

Bad calls happen all the time and life goes on. But you don't have time to overcome a bad call with 5 seconds left in the game. You shouldn't have to anticipate a ****** call(s) at the very end of the game.

Those refs were just lost at the end of the game. Disheartening. I wonder if Bowlsby feels even a little bit of embarrassment presiding over that clown show.

I just do not like the feeling that the outcome of this game was pre-determine based on all of the bad calls. It is really hard for me to believe there were that many bad calls down the stretch at key moments without someone intentionally playing a role in the outcome.
