Is it because it was KU?

I admit it, the reason I'm so mad about the game last night is because it was KU...I live in KC and have a deep hatred for KU and their fans so that's why this one stings so bad...

I realized if this was Texas or OSU I wouldn't be near as upset...

Are other people mad because it was KU? Or just because ISU got jobbed?

Just curious to see what everyone else is feeling.

Yes, because it's KU. Anyone who's been following the Big 8/12 for years knows there's a major KU slant in officiating and we are not the only fanbase in conference who complains about it.

They get protected by the officials in conference play, then they lose relatively early in the NCAA tournament a lot because they don't get the calls anymore.

We got mad because as Cyclone fans, players, coaches, administrators, etc. we all wanted to win. And losing is upsetting and not to be taken lightly.

But yes we breathe and therefore hate Kansas and of course the refs jobbed us. I think they just forgot this game was being watched by most of the college basketball loving nation on ESPN on Big Monday and not some 12:45 sat tipoff on big 12 network where the KU's of the world get call after call to somehow go there way on reputation.

Good point. It makes it slightly easier to swallow seeing the national outcry all over the major media publications and sportswriters.

It was a stolen victory. It does not matter who the opponent was. The ref had a major decision to make and he punted. Then he unswallowed his whistle when it became obvious he had to do something after the floor hustle. Looked like both players were out of bounds and perhaps it was a jump ball decision at that point.

The ref known formerly as Tom Tom "U Betcha" O'Neill was in charge, but he failed to call the charge.

Yes, ISU lost because the fix is in for KU. So, it is because it was KU.

It was a pitiful call. There's been a ton of them, the refs seem to get worse every year in college while the NBA seems to be officiated better. But your theory seems a little off since KU has won more tourney games the last 10 years than any other school. They went to the championship game just last year. If you go enough your going to get upset, that's what makes the tourney so great, just ask Duke. ISU is one of only 4 schools to lose 1st round as a 2 seed, did that happen because the officials gave them breaks during the Big 12 season?

No, that happened because that ISU team was playing way above their talent level with a short rotation the majority of the year and physically ran out of gas.
