From Pat Forde's Column Today - Forde Minutes

Kansas also benefited from two fluke circumstances to beat Iowa State – a banked-in 3-pointer to force overtime in Lawrence, and some of the most atrocious end-game officiating in recent history in Ames on Monday night. Bert Smith and Tom O'Neill should be suspended by the Big 12 for outright incompetence after robbing the Cyclones.

I agree. It's one of two things:

-The B12 has with a wink and a handshake communicated that they want KU to be a high seed come hell or high water

    or

-These guys are completely incompetent and should be fired.

    It's one or the other.

Every sports person I have seen, says that was a charge. When everybody says it was a charge, it was obviously a charge. Those refs completely messed their pants at the end.

    From Gary Parrish--

Now I know what you're thinking, ISU fans.Write about the refs. They screwed us!
So let me go ahead and make it clear that, yes, the refs screwed Iowa State because Johnson should've been called for a charge on his late drive in regulation. Officials get that right, and ISU would own a 23-game home winning streak and signature victory to hand the selection committee. As it is, the Cyclones have a one-game losing streak at Hilton Coliseum, Self is the fourth fastest in Division I history to reach 500 victories and Johnson is the talk of college basketball.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

I agree with Forde, but nothing can be done about it now..........so buckle up and get ready for Saturday, because that game just got a lot bigger if the Clones want to play in the tourney.

I for one, as a Cyclone fan, don't want sympathy from the nation...just a break from all the b.s. calls that are made, and not only against us, but any team who's getting the screws put to them against a team like k-puke.

The officials really messed up letting TCU beat Kansas. Not everything out there is a conspiracy. :)

Not exactly true, I guess Travis and Tim this morning said that the officials did not cause Iowa State to lose. I'm not making this up.

No one said the refs are shooting for KU.
