Are you more nervous at the game or watching on TV?

It just occurred to me that I am far less nervous when watching live than when I am watching on TV. I'm guessing it's a combination of my ability to yell my fool head off and not having to sit through the graphics that they put up right until the very moment after play has resumed. What say you?

TV for sure. More comfortable when I can see everything going on in person.

Easy, road games are on TV. Road games make me a lot more nervous.

On TV, no doubt. Probably because you're just waiting around all day for the game to start.

More nervous on TV because you feel like a total spectator. When at the game you can be a participant and feel like you have a small role to play.

Re: Are you more nervous at the game or watching on TV?

TV all the way. When it's in person I am at Hilton, which in general makes me more comfortable about our games. When it's on TV, it frequently gets turned off and muted for short stretches.

Re: Are you more nervous at the game or watching on TV?

About the same. A lot of it depends on who I'm with. If I'm with my either of my siblings and it's a close game I feel like I'm gonna have a heart attack. If I'm with friends who care less about the game than I do then I'm usually a lot calmer.

TV for sure - at the game I can yell my head off and generally release all the tension. Plus I'm surrounded by thousands of people who are experiencing the same feelings.

At home all I can do is pace.

TV, because watching on TV highlights how terrible the refs are and how much it generally takes to overcome that.

When I'm watching on TV with people who aren't into the game, I try to control the crazy, but the crazy comes out anyway.

Re: Are you more nervous at the game or watching on TV?

Been out of school for 14 years now, haven't been able to attend many games since then. I don't remember feeling nervous in the stands hardly at all.

At home, I'm a nervous wreck if it is a conference game and it doesn't matter who we're playing. The first half I'm cold and shivering, the second half my body temp rises to about 110* and I sweat the entire time. I watch almost every game standing up...and that includes when I'm in my man cave, by myself. The game situation doesn't seem to matter. We were up on Tech 20+ last week and I was sweating my *** off.

Embarrassing to admit, but feels good to get it out.

If I went to the game, I would have to travel a long way. I can't imagine arriving there and not being extremely nervous.
