Yeah, I actually liked KFP 2 better than the first. Liked the first, but the 2nd just got to me more.

    Re: Kid movies

I will openly admit that I love watching kids movies, a nice change of pace from every other type of movie. Now that I have three kids I now have a legitimate excuse to watch them. However our kids movies have basically been broken in two categories now that our oldest is in first grade and doesn't like watching "baby movies" with the girls as he calls them.

Here are some favorites in our house for the two younger ones.
    Fox and the Hound
    Brave Little Toaster
    Brave
    All the Toy Story's
    Lion King
    Little Mermaid
    Beauty and the Beast
    UP
    Original Peter Pan
    Cinderella

Here is the list of bigger kids movies that my son loves to watch.
    Real Steel
    Sandlot
    Hook
    Wall E
TMNT - Which I love since this was my favorite as a kid.
    How to train your dragon
    Where the Red Fern Grows
And he also loves all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

I may remember some more but these are what are off the top of my head.

    Re: Kid movies

Despicable Me is one of those that I can tolerate, it is very cute. ;) My youngest likes the new animated Horton Hears a Who and The Lorax. She also likes Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc right now. Both Monster Inc and Despicable Me have new movies coming out this spring/summer. When my older two were a bit younger, they liked Flushed Away. My oldest was obsessed with Shrek when she was about 18-24 mo old. Any of the dumb Barbie movies are like nails on a chalkboard. Unfortunately my youngest has found them and likes them. Ugh.

Watching the Goonies as an adult now there is quite a bit of language in it that isn't appropriate. ;) My girls haven't gotten into it yet. They do like ET, I got them the 30th Anniversary edition for Christmas. My middle daughter is the same age I was when I first saw it in theaters.

Is anyone into the Aardman flicks (Chicken Run, Flushed Away, The Pirates! Band of Misfits)? Super creative and I am in awe of the talent and patience it must take to do all that stop-motion photography (I think Flushed Away was actually CGI).

I liked Flushed Away a lot. One of my faves. The others not so much.

I agree with you. Huge fan of Flushed Away and the others just so-so but I am still in awe of the movie-making talent.

Quest for Camelot was always one of my favorites. It's a Disneyesque musical made by the WB.

    Re: Kid movies

any of the old Disney movies - I especially loved Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Aladdin, and Cinderella.

Up, Wall-E, and How To Train Your Dragon are some more current ones that are fun and good for kids too.

Absolutely. It takes a talent, Im just not a fan of claymation, much like I hate the Rudolph type filming with the clay, dolls, etc. Creeps me out.

Our daughter wants to watch "Superheroes" (The Incredibles) anytime, day or night. It's a great one.

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned (How to Train Your Dragon, Despicable Me, Monsters, Inc., etc), but a few others I can tolerate on the babysitting box are Robots, Bolt, The Incredibles, and Cars.

    Re: Kid movies

I am actually really excited for Despicable Me 2 this summer. Despicable Me and Ice Age are my favorites right now.

As far as old movies, I didn't realize how scary and sad the Land Before Time was. People always talk about Bambie, but when Littlefoot's mom died my kids were in full tears.
