It's actually pretty common for the first few rows to be sparsley populated. You can't see anything from that far down. Nascar is the only sport I can think of where the higher up you are the better the seat.

As bad as it sounds, deep down NASCAR has to be thinking that ratings will be through the roof for the 500 tomorrow. Between this and Danica winning the poll, there will be A LOT of eyes on tomorrows race.

I am a NASCAR honk but yes this will help ratings. Its the rubber necking affect that most humans have at a car crash. You can even hear the spectators cheering when the wreck starts.

I can't stand Danica. Did anyone even know that another female was in the race, and until that crash, was running top fifteen? Danica "thought" her engine blew, so she took it straight to the garage..........and her crew started it right up. I don't even know how you mistake that, when younger Busch blew, it was all over the track. Derp.

Hopefully all the fans are ok, I'm sure it will help ratings, but no one wants to see the fans hurt.

    Re: NASCAR Nationwide Race

If you look back todays fences are better are a lot better than 10 years ago, but still not good enough. The worse part is a lot of crazy things can happen during a race and the only way to know if the fence is good enough or where work needs to be done is to have something like today happen.
