    Nice find at CR Goodwill

Dropped some stuff off at Goodwill yesterday and decided to poke around inside. Found this vintage football jersey from the coach Mac era. Looks like it has never been worn and best of all it was my size.

Whenever I stop at Goodwill it's always packed with people looking for Hawk stuff.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Do they still sell those half gold half red jerseys we wore in 2004?

If my memory serves me, I believe those are the jerseys they wore at Iowa in 2002.

That's not the case. I remember that game quite vividly and ISU had their regular all-whites with the red helmet.

I appreciate the clarification. Evidently I wasn't laying on the sarcasm hard enough.

The only thing worse than our actual game jerseys from the Mac era were the hideous replica jerseys offered at that time. Good riddance.

Haha you shop at goodwill and therefore are less fortunate than the average American.

Speaking of which, I picked up some wicked good vintage Lays Potato chips at the dollar store the other day.

I am surprised at how many tornado cy or swoosh ISU logos I still see. This jersey is 10+ years old and I still see these show up on new clothing today. Copyright is one thing but getting the blue out of our gear took years to occur. It certainly didn't take years to get the feathers off of the Iowa football jerseys!

Seriously guys? ISU has NEVER worn those jerseys. That is a fashion jersey produced by a third tier sports clothing manufacturer.

So this is a cheap high quality jersey?

You'll have to rip my gray ISU whirlybird Nike sweatshirt with the raised chain stitched logo off my cold, dead body. Even when I find a Nike ISU sweatshirt with the current logo on it that sweatshirt isn't leaving the rotation until until it's no longer wearable - and then I'm cutting the logo off the sweatshirt and saving it for an ISU display.
