Melvin Ejim, welcome to the All Big 12 2nd team........at least.

Cyclones MVP, thats all. He may not get it for his lack of flash, but where would we be with Melvin? Big 12 leading rebounder at 6 foot 6, um YES!

I agree. Very thankful to have him another year.

2nd Team? He should be First-Team All-Big 12 the way he's leading the Big 12 in rebounding at 6 foot 6. Best player on our team by far. Big gem for us in the 2010 recruiting class.

I've been saying for a while that if Melvin wore a Kansas uniform with his stats, he'd be first team. As such, Withey will get first team even though I don't think he is anything to brag about and Melvin will be lucky to get 3rd team.

This team is tough.....some nights Clyburn is first team, some nights Melvin is. Babb should be all defensive. Hell, Tyrus should be 2nd or 3rd team and he doesn't start.

Tyrus is 6th man hands down, Melvin will get 2nd team, like someone else said, if he wore a KU jersey he'd be the MVP.

I agree, but theres just no way they give him what he deserves. I was saying 2nd team because I think thats as high as the AP will give him, maybe the coaches will give 1st or 2nd, who knows.

Best four freshmen in the league:

    1. Smart
    2. Maclemore
    3. Niang
    4. Austin

only one of those 4 will be around next year!!

Re: Melvin Ejim, welcome to the All Big 12 2nd team........at least.

    G - Marcus Smart
    G - Ben McLemore
    G - Pierre Jackson
    G - Rodney McGruder
    C - Jeff Withey
That is likely your All Big 12 first team unless they decide 4 guards is too much.

    G- Markell Brown
    G- LeBryan Nash
    F- Will Clyburn
    F - Romero Osby
    F- Melvin Ejim

That is likely your second team unless they Isiah Austin gets in over Ejim.

If he keeps putting up 20 and 12, he should be 1st team. That is absolutely amazing.

If he doesn't get 2nd team, its a travesty.

On second thought, you might take Brown off and Austin in.

Love his hustle and overall play. with the juco transfers and Ejim next year, interior D could be pretty stout/physical next year for the first time in years.
