All nine fans tried to do the wave. It looked like it lasted 0.5 seconds.

When Tyrus threw that pass to Georges and he wasn't looking and you could clearly hear him yell at him to look, i thought that summed up how loud it was in that place.

    Re: props to Baylors crowd

You would think Baylor fans would be excited about their athletics.....WBB national champions...a recent Heisman winner, MBB elite 8 team last year and brings in top talent every year.

I was more shocked when we played Okie State that they were empty. They have elite 8 talent on that roster.

Very correct. OSU had very public debate in the newspapers about attendance at basketball games. Alums were disappointed. Some questioned whether they should have expanded GIA. etc. Attendance obviously very different for this KU game than for the ISU game earlier in the year.

Crowds have been up big since they beat KU in Lawrence.

According to the box score there were 6293 at tonights game... last week 2/13 vs WV they had 6573. I have no idea what their place holds but it is lame that WV would outdraw us

The sad thing is every conference road game ISU played outside of Kansas and KSU has been this way.

I was under the impression that fans don't go to sporting events because their afraid dancing might break out in the crowds. Tarps prevent dancing.

Some here have postulated that the recent success of Oklahoma's new NBA team has drawn people away from college basketball in the state.

I think basketball attendance is down overall too, which isn't exactly a new issue. I'm not really sure why though; and I don't really buy the whole TV argument. I know many casual basketball fans that much prefer to see a game in person than watch it on TV.

    Re: props to Baylors crowd

They like to say they don't show up for games like this because ISU is an inferior opponent.

The reality is that they are inferior fans.
