Re: HTC One - Kickoff Event

My Sprint upgrade is in April. Assuming Sprint has the phone at that time, the HTC One will be my next phone. The phone looks great and the specs are pretty impressive. (for 6 months anyway)

I've had great luck with HTC phones and will continue to buy them until they prove otherwise. I have had a couple iPads too, so it's nice to experience both leading OS's in the mobile device world.

That phone looks great and all but I am thinking of holding out for the Motorola X Motorola X Phone will feature entirely new Google experience

I may take it step further when that comes out. Rumors are that it will be $299 or $399 to straight out buy the phone from google. Then you can just get a pay as you go plan for much cheaper since the cell companies won't be subsidizing your phone.

Wow...giving $100 to existing HTC customers to upgrade! I really like my Evo 4G LTE, but that's tempting, especially if the straight buy price is low.

I wonder if it will be supported by htcdev.com so that it can be unlocked and rooted.

Do you think the $100 upgrade bonus will be offered to those who are contractually eligible to upgrade? So if Sprint's upgrade price is $199, HTC will kick in an additional $100? If so...I will go with this phone for sure. Even though I am tempted to wait for the S4.

I liked my Dinc and Dinc2. I think HTC has fallen a bit behind but this phone looks impressive.

Yeah...not sure how Sprint/HTC will handle that. For my last few phones, I have bought them straight out (usually used) instead of upgrading through Sprint and locking on a contract.
