If you don't like average, go watch Indiana. I watch the Cyclones because that is who I care about, average or not. And I am still not sure they are average.

And by the way there is much more to this than bad luck. We are all forgetting that this is Texas. Texas gets as much of a home kick as Kansas. It has been that way since they are in the Big 12.

I saw no home cooking by the refs. If anything, we were given two gifts by the refs down the stretch, plus their two best players rode the pine the last 5 minutes of play.

    We still couldn't beat them.

That isn't bad luck. That isn't a screw job by the refs. That is the exact same story that we've seen 3 times previously.

When you have no idea what the hell you're talking about, and just want to have a "woe is me" pity party people just say things like "we're" without any justification. It's pretty typical with the ignorant posters around here.

And most of the times, average is good enough to make it into the tournament.

I watched ISU be bad for years under GMAC and I will watch this average team till the end. I don't know what Indiana has to do with it. Strange post.

Re: Real bad luck on the road

You make your own luck. Texas isnt a good team. They didnt play well tonight. All this team has to do is make 2 plays and they win. Problem is once again they didnt make those plays.

We play hard, but at points in the game not smart. Cannot do that on the road, but we do every ******* time.

Teams also play better at home, that just is the way things work. I have yet to see the whole game, I just saw the second overtime. Just as we don't play as well on the road. It is really tough to get teams, especially teams that don't stress defense to play well on the road. The reason the Eustachy teams did so well before he turned into a lush, he was one of the best defensive coaches I have ever seen. Hoiberg hasn't shown to be as good of a defensive coach yet. But maybe he will learn. I still think Hoiberg has been really special. Orr was a terrible defensive coach and we lived with this throughout the Orr years.

Re: Real bad luck on the road

Since the 2000-2001 season in back to back road games ISU has only won the second road game 4 times in 23 attempts. 3 of those wins were against Nebraska 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and one to A&M in the 2002-2003 season. Only once have they won both games 2004-2005 Texas fb Neb.

It was because everyone was talking about how ISU is average, and I wondered, what a strange bunch of posts are those? What is the point of calling a team average? Is that edifying, in some way helping the cause? Therefore, labeling someone average, is negative, like you don't like average. There, I spelled it out for you.

We are going to finish 5/6th in a very average league. That's average IMO.

In fact, it's quite possible that we'll finish behind WVU
