This has to be a first for Texas football recruiting in a long long time

Per Scout.Com Texas signs a 2 star safety, the 143rd best safety in the class....

Don't see that with Texas recruiting under Mack Brown these days...

    Well they signed a 2 star in 2012, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006 and then I stopped looking.

While you are correct that 2 star players are a rarity for Texas, this isn't a first for Mack Brown.

im almost positive that the juco OT they got was a 4 star a couple weeks ago... looks like a pretty crappy class for the donghorns

LHN may turn into a lemon for ESPN. If they are recruiting like this in football and selling $5 bball tickets, it does not look that bright.

Beginning to wonder if ESPN did not directly pay off UT to split from the conference.

UT and OU both need to replace their head coaches. Those teams have lost their "allure" and need a new name to bring excitement back. More mediocrity ahead for both until that happens IMO.

I remember a few years back Texas signed a whole slew of 4-5* star guys. A few 3* and one very out of place 2* guy. He was a four year starter and eventual team captain Blake gideon.

I agree. aTm is also picking up on a lot of ground on UT, and they will continue with a young, energetic coach like Sumlin.

Bob Stoops has won 10 or more games in 11 out of 14 seasons at OU.

He's won 11 or more games in 9 out of his 14 seasons at OU

Texas returns the most starters in the country back to their team. People forget how young they have been. Don't be surprised if they are a top 5 team next year

Yes, A&M now rules the state.

Ummmm...sarcasm pirate? A&M definitely does not rule the state by a wide margin. That said, UT needs new blood on the sidelines.
