    Best case scenario tournament wise?

I think it's pretty obvious we will make the tournament. Since yesterday's blown opportunity, what is the best possible seed we can get if we can maybe get on a hot streak and win out or maybe lose only one more? Is a 6 maybe 7 seed out of the question? Realizing that we may only have a chance for an 8 or 9 seed at best is depressing to think about because it just seems like we may have another good team that will have to play another Kentucky in the second round.

Depends how hot you are talking...winning out? Yes a 6 would definitely be possible, luckily if we do end up in the 8/9 there are good teams, but no "kentucky's" this yr.

My best case scenario would be just to get in. I don't think it's as obvious as you do. If we get in the best seed we could get is probably a 9 or a 10 seed in my opinion.

We win out, everybody else ahead of us loses out, and we get the #1 overall seed and win the title.

There are no Kentuckys this year.

    This.

If we win where we should, which is basically every game here on out, I can see us as a 4-5 seed. Depends on what happens in other leagues. We just gotta take care of our business.

Win out, win the Big 12, and win the Big 12 tourney, and your a 4 seed, 5 at the very worst.

Ok, you're right. Maybe no Kentucky's but those 5 or 6 teams that have played musical chairs with the top 5 rankings would all be a tough matchup for us. Just think an 8 or 9 seed would be a big bummer with the team we have.

Peak late and get a six. I'd like to avoid a 2 or 3 in the second round, but the cool thing is that there is no '12 Kentucky in the field.

Re: Best case scenario tournament wise?

This thread just saddens me that we did draw Kentucky last year. I think we could have beaten any of the other 1 seeds the way they were playing at the time.

Need KL and WC to realize that they can help their draft stock tremendously by playing dominant ball like that.

As much as I hate to say it, I think this team is looking at a 9 to 11 seed if it gets in.

-Be kind. That is something you will never regret. You will never say to yourself when you are old "I wish I was not good to that person".

This is most likely. If they won out regular season and played to their seed in the Big 12 tourney (win 1 or 2), you are looking at probably a 4 - seed max. I would guess it would actually be a 5 seed without winning the big 12 (season and tourney).

If this team is setting (realistic) goals for themselves right now, it would be to get a 8 or 7 seed to avoid a 1 in the 2nd (technically 3rd) round. That is pretty realistic if they lose 2 or 3 and win 1 in the tourney.

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.
