That one was disappointing. Not because it was a must-win, but because there was so much upside (a signature road win, tie for first in the conference, etc.). It was only the first game past the half-way mark in conference play, so there's a lot of season left and we'll have plenty more opportunities to make our case for the tournament...

...few of them will be as good as tonight, though. Take our lumps, and look ahead. Go Cyclones!

Bigs combined to score less than either one is averaging, that was the issue. We have two that can score and neither did. Defense shouldn't be able to shut both down. Done. I'm not for sure how get so anemic sometimes.

Way too many turnovers and too many offense rebounds to kstate to even think about winning this game or any close games on the road

Time for Fred to hit the recruiting trail and get a couple of world class bigs.

Need to take care of the ball on the road and rebound.

Good teams win on the road. KSU has found a way to win 4 on the road in the league (but did give one up to KU at home).

You need to look at our resume then. It's not good. Zero quality wins and some terrible road losses (Iowa, TT, Cincinatti...). We lose to Texas and it's NIT city. The committee doesn't take teams that are poor on the road... regardless of their RPI. Happens every year.

You are just wrong. This is dejavu to last year.

Thinking a neutral court loss to Cincy is terrible is just moronic.

You can't look just at our resume, you have to compare it to other teams. It's a very weak bubble again this year, just like last. For crissake, Illinois and Indiana State are currently in. Compare their resumes to ours, it's not close.

    THE SEASON IS OVER!!!!

(By the way, Cincinnati was ranked when we lost to them, so I wouldn't count that as a bad loss.)

Re: Iowa State Kansas State postgame thread

Comparing our struggles on the road to KStates success isn't exactly apples to apples. The Tech loss criticism is fair, but their best road win is a 2pt win over the 5th team in the big 12? We've played the top 3 in the conference on the road, all ranked teams..I have a feeling things will balance out the next few weeks. They play at Kansas, at Baylor, and at Okie St...

Not saying we haven't missed opportunities..but to say good teams win on the road like K-state has done, I don't know..we're the best team they've played so far on the road, and they lost. If they win Monday, then I'll believe you.

Okay, a home win to K-State can qualify as quality win. After that, name one. And I don't give a **** if Cincy was rated when we played them...they aren't now, so they can't be that great. Quit being such a blind loyalist, moron.
