    Matt Thomas

Seems that he is arguably the best shooter in the class. how is this guys defense? is he solid on that end of the floor or more just a pure offense guy?

hopefully better than jake sullivan? if i recall from my younger days he was an incredible 3pt shooter, but somewhat of a liability on defense.

anyone out there seen him play?

Never seen him play, but IMHO he's closer to Hoiberg than Sullivan when it comes to body-type, build and athletic ability.

Thomas is much quicker and more athletic than Sullivan. He's not going to be a babb, but he will be just fine on d.

Not to mention, 3-4 inches taller.

He's a cross between David Hasselhoff and Michael Jordan. Hoff on the beach, Jordan on the court.

    Re: Matt Thomas

thomas is a legit 6'4", 190 lbs and muscular, so he won't be overmatched physically. he's definitely quicker and more athletic than christopherson. however, his high school team plays zone mostly, and he plays on the baseline, so its hard to say how he'll guard on the perimeter. he's also an oustanding rebounder.

    Bravo, I am using this!

If you ask the basketball analysts outside the state of Iowa I think you would be surprised to hear their responses. Iowa was pegged as a preseason top 5 team by one ESPN analyst and is ranked in the vast, vast majority of preseason top 25 polls

Matt Thomas is The Mayor reincarnate who was the reincarnation of Larry Bird. Its a roughly 20 year cycle of tall white shooting extrordinares. Legend has it Robin Hood could throw a melon in a basket from 40 paces with his eyes closed, he chose to be pretty good at bow hunting instead to please his father.
