Had a buddy who was convinced that conception involved peeing. I knew that wasn't right but didn't know exactly what it did involve. Hopefully he figured that one out before his first attempt.

I thought the shorthand of condominium was condom. I found out it was wrong when I told my parents that when I grew up I was going to live in a condom.

I sit down with my daughter and I said, "Do you know how babies get here?" And she said, "Well, the lady has an egg inside of her, and the man has sperm inside of him, and the sperm meets the egg, and that's how the lady gets pregnant." And I said, "Do you know how the sperm meets the egg?" She said, "Does the man pee on the woman?" I said, "Sometimes, but that's $35 extra."

As a kid, had no clue the Village People had anything to do with homosexuals. Never understood the sexual inneundo of staying at the YMCA.

(not that there is anything wrong with that)

This happened to me as well. I remember being in maybe 4th grade and seeing a headline that said something like, "Scientists concerned about declining sales in condoms." And I thought, why would scientists care if condos aren't selling that well? Had I gone on to read the article I probably would have learned a lot.

Re: Things You Completely Didn't Understand As a Child

In grade school we did some volunteer trash pick up along the roads by the school. One of the kids found some porn that was thrown in the ditch. Before it was confiscated we saw a picture of a woman with a schlong.

I guess I still don't completely understand that.

I also used to occasionally call my little brothers dildos (can I say that on Cyclone Fanatic?) without realizing what they were.

Re: Things You Completely Didn't Understand As a Child

See Angie, I told you it would devolve into 90% sexual talk...

I thought of another one. I was about 6 and I developed a rash on my arm. I thought at first it was mosquito bites and as it got worse someone, possibly my grandmother, identified it as poison ivy. Being so young my idea of poison was if you got poison you died. So I was convinced I was going to die; and was somewhat surprised by how little concern there was for me on my last days.

    Mincemeat Pie.

My family used to make this around the holidays from time to time and I was always disgusted by it because I thought there was actual meat in the pie. Needless to say, I've still never tried it.

Haha. I think someone convinced my younger brother that "hamburgers" had boogers in them. He wouldn't eat hamburgers for a long time after that.
