Sorry, I guess I don't mind paying for the extra features and stories. Good press is good press though, for ISU.

Can you give those of us that are not and do not want to be an insider on what it says about ISU and who else is on the top 7 list?

    1. San Diego State Aztecs
    2. Villanova Wildcats
    3. Iowa State Cyclones
    4. Massachusetts Minutemen
    5. Dayton Flyers
    6. Wisconsin Badgers
    7. Texas Longhorns

    Iowa State Cyclones
The Cyclones are off to a 5-0 start with two key victories -- one at home against Michigan and a road win at BYU. We know Fred Hoiberg’s teams can score the ball, and "The Mayor" said this team has great resolve and has shown the ability to stay together through adversity.

“We’ve also done a good job of playing unselfish offensively and making the right play when it’s there,” Hoiberg said. Iowa State has three core guys in Melvin Ejim (18 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game), DeAndre Kane (16.4 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 4.8 assists per game) and Georges Niang (13.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 4.8 APG).

SDSU, Villanova, ISU, UMass, Dayton, Wisconsin, Texas (though he qualifies Texas as still NIT bound).

Says good things about Fred and ISU, and comments the fact that we gelled so early and play unselfish basketball. Comments about our wins over Michigan and BYU (and being undefeated).

Great article on giving us a lot of credit. I'm excited to see how the pre-conference play shapes up as we go through the next month as there is so much to look forward to!

This is just some of the benefits of playing and beating a team like Michigan (and BYU) early in the season. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I find it surprising coming from Goodwin who tweeted out after the Michigan win how it wasn't that big of a deal bc McGary was playing in his first game of the year. (loosely translated)
