    Drew Tate Injured

    http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pb...02/1003/SPORTS

I know the chances of him not starting the Iowa/ISU game are slim, but I thought I'd let you guys know that he's not going to be playing at all vs. Syracuse today. Knowing the egg that Jason Manson laid in Ames last year, do the Orange have a fighting chance in this one or no?

For our sake, I hope not. Iowa would come out very, very ****** off against us if they lose this game.

I would also like to see Iowa coast to a victory today so that their heads inflate even larger while thinking they are a national championship contender then we hit them with the sucker punch.

I remember Drew laying an egg in Ames last year, not Jason. Had Drew finished the game ISU would have won by a larger margin.

The TV is saying it's an abdominal strain, but I'm pretty sure it's a swollen labia.

Here's the thing. Hawkeye fans cannot use the "Drew Tate not playing" excuse. Manson is a great QB, he just hasn't played much in a college atmosphere. He was the number one QB coming out of Connecticut out of high school, so he could have gone to several schools, but he chose to come to Iowa. He has no problem being in a backup role.

Personally, I'm a big fan of him for that alone, and will be cheering for him today. Besides, who doesn't love the backup QB?

That sir is one of the funnier things I have heard today!

The only thing funnier is the game that is on ABC right now involving a team with Iowa's uni's but not playing like a Nat'l championship contender.

If any of you thinks the Fawks are National contenders after watching this SYR game you got to be smoking something! I hope Manson starts next week to!!!!!!! Swollen labia, thats good! Looks like 10-7 escape from SYR for the Fawks. Mason threw 4 interceptions, had Syr not made stupid penalties and been a little deeper this would be a 1-1 Fawk team. Man, SYR really moved the ball at times on the Swak defense. The Iowa defense doesn't even look Big 11 capable.
