Nobody has posses the ball after a shot is taken

Sorry guys, but they actually did get the call right. Now referring to the call earlier, I don't know if that one was right

A foul is a foul. Stupid rule. Reward the team with free throws regardless

You don't shoot FT on a player control foul. But, at the same time, in order for a player control foul to occur that has to be possession of the ball (I think). ON a team control fould, which is what this should have been, there are no FT either.

So, the right call by the officials to not let Babb shoot FT, but poor job that they didn't know it in the first place. Poor job by the announcers too calling it player control. Still sucks for us, regardless.

But, they were already in the bonus, so they get the free throws for that reason, not having the ball.

    Two different rules being applied.

    1. In the bonus, any foul results in free throws. Clyburn's foul.
    2. Player control fouls in the backcourt result in free throws, if you have possession (which Babb didn't), regardless of whether you are in the bonus.

No. That was the 7th foul. That means ISU would then be in the bonus from that foul and on. That foul would be the first bonus foul.

Still doesnt' make sense. When (actually if but that is a different debate) Clyburn went over the back, the Okie State did not have the ball, it was still open for a rebound and hench Clyburn's over the back. Why did they get the benefit of the doubt that they would collect a defensive rebound but we didn't get the benefit of the doubt that Babb would've caught a wideopen pass thrown basically right to him? Don't get it....

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

ISU got F-ed in Sh!^water just like always Cylburn got killed on his drive at the end of the game and Ejim's block was completely clean.

Re: Why no FT's at the end?

Still wondering why we didn't get the ball in front of our bench where the OSU guy threw in and Babb got fouled before even touching the ball. Seems like the ball should have gone back to the same out-of-bounds spot.

I agree if you call a foul on Ejim's block. You have to call Nash on Clyburns drive.

But the example of a foul on a rebound would also be a situation where possession was never gained, and you shoot fouls then. I've still heard NOTHING to explain the call.

Even if it is the right call, if that were to happen against ISU, you know damn well the other team would be shooting free throws there. Even if they reviewed for what seemed like a half hour, they would come to the conclusion that the team is shooting free throws. The only time the refs would make that right call in that situation, would be when it costs ISU. Of course, that is what happened.

the answer to the OP's question is:

because we were playing at GIA and we don't win there.

This is completely wrong. That was the 7th foul, so we were in the Bonus. Still haven't heard any viable explanation.
