The way I see things from the TTech game.

    1. KL had a bad game, he has been playing very well for the most part. I'll pardon him as long as it doesnt become an every night affair. To his credit he kept us in it down the stretch by hitting 2 nice 3 pointers.
    2. Tyrus is going to absolutely explode very soon, he has been in a slump these last 3 games.
    3. I was most surprised by Melvin's bad game the other night. His game was off and things just weren't going his way at, much like the Hawkeye game. Look for a full onslaught of BEAST MODE Saturday. If it occurs it would be characteristic of ME. Look for another double double.
    4. Will Clyburn is 14 points/8 rebounds every night. You don't see this kid force it much and he was driving the hoop and drawing fould the other night, I am not sure why everyone was bagging on him, only hada double double. He is who he is, solid player that had a beautiful assist to Georges against WVU, how soon some of you forget it.
    5. Niang needs to keep playing hard, everything else will take care of itself with him.
    6. We NEED PErcy and Booker to engage. They are like Maverick out there when he was thinking about Goose. Totally non-existent, and its too bad because both do actually bring some things to the table.

As far as tweeting players, it needs to stop, I mean, how would some of you like it if you had the worst day in recent memory at work and some ******* talks trash to you after it when you are trying to re-focus on the next day to try and make yourself better to prevent a future occurrence similar to what happened Wednesday night. I have such a hard time wrapping my head around why somebody would do that to our players, its disgraceful. I have always taken pride in our fan-base being level headed, but then I get on here and alot of posters are exactly the opposite.

We have had our share of rough patches in our programs history, we have been a doormat in football for 90% of the program's existence. Now we have a coach that has energized the fan-base and has actually consistently sold-out JTS. Something I didn't know for sure if it would ever happen.

We have been successful in basketball for he most part since Johnny Orr came to town in the early 80's. However we have just come off a lackluster decade in which the Eustachy debacle happened, Wayne Morgan happened, and then Greg McDermott did what he could to kill the program, making it a place where talented kids transferred out in droves. Now we have a coach who has seemingly turned it around VERY quickly and restored pride in our BBALL team, and he happens to be an ISU legend. He is well respected across the country and a genuinely nice guy, who happens to be a hell of a coach. He is recruiting well, and has our program on the right track, with a bunch of misfits and castaways. Just wait until you see what he does with quality 4 year kids.

We have it pretty good right now, I have seen what its like when things suck like they have recently, with a 2-10 football team and a .500 BBall team in the same year. Now we are going to bowl games and expect to go to the NCAA tournament and some aren't enjoying the ride. I don't understand it. What would it take for some of you to be happy? Prozac maybe?

Totally agree on book and Percy, especially Percy. He was money down low last year, just seems off this season.

Fantastic top gun reference by the way.

Just wanted to post this again in case anyone missed it the first time.

    Thanks for all you said.

    I'll add a couple things:

    (1) A couple of Georges fouls (especially the last one) wouldn't even have been considered contact in the Big Ten.

    (2) Remember last spring when Percy was going toe to toe with Anthony Davis around the rim? We need at least a little of that to show up.

    (3) That game in Lubbock was beyond brutal, enough that I seriously considered not watching the second half. At this point, I'm calling it an anomaly. (thanks spell check)

Percy looked very good for a freshman. I wonder who on the staff works with the post players during the off season individual workouts. You always hear that posts need lots of work and Percy seems to have regressed this year.

Although I am sure it is much harder without Royce drawing so much attention and KL not being a "get to the rim" PG.

Royce helped Percy in 2 ways, drawing attention and dropping him some dimes.

Who in their right mind would Tweet a college player about their game? They are not paid, unless you count scholarhip, and are 21 years old or less. Give them a break.

I think TT played almost perfect defense on us. I was impressed generally, still with a little luck we would have won it. The luck was going against us on both sides of the floor. That happens sometimes.

It's interesting to see all the top ranked teams having problems. Losses happen, we still control our own destiny and need to keep fighting. We have a good team, just sometimes we need to remember this is college, you don't always win the games you should.
