The original Nightmare on Elm Street was great. The rest were awful. Especially the scene with the killer parakeet. (was that the 2nd ?)

The first Saw was good. Too bad they took the original concept and turned it into a torture porn franchise.

I watched a documentary last year on the making of Halloween. Very interesting.

I agree, I don't like just sheer gore for the sake of gore. I didn't like the Saw movies much because of that. Honestly, the first Ring movie was pretty good at being psychological without showing a ton of gore.

There's a psychological horror film that I can't remember the name of right now. It's a group of men renovating the interior of an abandoned mental institution. I think it might be "Session 9" or "Session 49" or something? It was really well-done.

Even though it's technically not 'one' movie...the holy trinity of Night, Dawn, and Day of the Dead are the greatest IMO.

Freddy vs Jason beats them all. Ha! No, but I did enjoy its absurdity immensely. I bought it for a dollar in a bargain bin and couldn't be happier.

Anything with creepy kids is terrifying. That kid from Pet Cemetery, still freaks me out.
