Will this be the last year of the Pro Bowl?

If the game turns out to be horrible and no one trying once again this weekend...does the NFL finally shut the pro bowl down? I know there was talk about it in the offseason. I'll be watching, but if the first half is anything like last year...I will be turning it off.

Re: Will this be the last year of the Pro Bowl?

    short answer - no.

Even though it was boring and and everyone hated it, it still drew big TV ratings. Bigger than the MLB allstar game, and bigger than any NBA playoffs game with the exception of Celtics/Heat Game 7.

The NFL is so popular that even it's worst game is still more popular, and therefore more desirable to advertisers, than the vast majority of other sporting events. It's not going anywhere

I just wish they would make some rule changes.

AD doesn't think this game is a joke.

Adrian Peterson: 'I'm going to play hard' in Pro Bowl - NFL.com

"I'm going to play hard," Peterson told the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Monday. "It is hard for me to play down because when you play down, you put yourself in jeopardy of getting hurt going through the motions. So I won't be playing down.

They wont get rid of it, but I think they need to make it like the MLB All-Star game. The winning conference gets an advantage some time during the season. What it should be, IDK. Superbowl at your place?

Hell no, I say this as a Cardinals fan who's team did benefit from that stupid rule.

NBA all-star game? Yeah, nobody plays super hard, but that game is a blast to watch. They attempt all kinds of alley-oops and trick passes. It's a show, and the crowd really gets into it. Of all the major sport all star games, the NBA does it the best and produces the most watchable product.
