Vikes should hope Justin Hunter out of Tennessee is available at pick #23. He could be a gamechanger on the outside.

The Vikings could use help at almost any position. Both lines, WR, LB, DB. A RB to spell AD other than Gerhart would be nice.

Vikings need a wide receiver badly. Corners would probably be next in line.

Good thing they have 9 picks. I could see them selling a few off to move up in a couple of spots if their guy is still on the board at the right time.

I've seen a few mocks that have us taking WR Cordarrelle Patterson at #23.

The Vikings need WR, DT, S, and IMO LB help. The WR class doesn't seem to be all that great this year, since the Vikings don't need a slot receiver at this point (although Harvin could change that depending on how he behaves with 1 year left on his contract).

If Arthur Brown is available at #23, I would be very conflicted on what to do. He is the best true LB in this draft and is fast and athletic enough to make the drop in the Vikings Cover 2 scheme where the current MLB (Jasper Brinkley) struggles mightily.

Then you could go WR or DT in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I think when it comes to the middle rounds they need to take a QB to develop as a backup for next year and an emergency plan for Ponder if he regresses in the future.

    Those are my thoughts.

RB is deep this year in the middle rounds, I wouldn't mind a 5th or 6th rounder on a scat back. I think CB is fine. They have spent so many picks on CB in the past couple drafts I would be surprised if that is a priority.

I think the pick you need to use for a CB is too high this year to make it worth it with other positions a much higher priority.

Gotta have a QB that can hit them, though.

The Vikings are riding Ponder as a starter whether anyone else likes it or not.

I think he can be an above average (read, top 15) QB for the Vikings given some time. He was phenomenal in the last 4 games and is developing into a leader. He had that bad stretch in the middle of the year, but had more good games than bad games by far.

A good receiver will make Ponder's life a lot better, especially if you have a good outside guy with Percy Harvin when he doesn't have a headache.

As a Packer fan. I would selected to fire there defensive Cordinator as the first round pick. The second round pick I would like to get someone who's only job is to Spy on Kapernick (SP?)

And he did it without Percy Harvin.

The Vikings #1 WR is Jerome Simpson and they made the playoffs, just shows how important a RB can be in a QB-centered league. I still think they need to go the route of free agency for WR help. I think J. Wright will fill in nicely for Harvin in the slot WR position. I like having Percy Harvin's talent on the roster but this team has proven they don't need him to win - time to move him for some middle-round picks while he still has value.
