One of the more embarassing things I can think of doing....trying to correct someone who was correct. He did, in fact, mean "BCS schools."

Just from watching the film, I like him better than Barnes, who had a really strange/fishy recruitment. I just don't get how a kid with multiple BCS offers commits to ISU before visiting any of them, including Ames. Then he decommits and commits to Houston? Strange. I'm betting most of those offers weren't solid. And maybe his ISU offer wasn't solid either?
I don't think Barnes has committed to Houston. I still think we are have a chance. He will commit on NSD

Absolutely. I posted that in the 2013 committments thread a few days ago. He had a lot of tweets that got deleted about 5 days ago. One was "Iowa state is where I should probably be" or something along those lines. I think he knows he should go to ISU, but is tempted to stay with friends and close to home.

A LOT less CFB schools in California per person than there are in Texas. California get's recruited, but not in the same way Florida and Texas do. Less schools and high population make it more likely to get looked over. See David Irving.

My bad. I sometimes don't read posts for days and then when I do get back to it, I may only go a couple days back or so. Didn't see your post. At any rate, I hope we land him. He is a damn good player. Much better than the 2 stars indicate, that Rivals gave him.

Oh no problem, I wouldn't expect someone to follow my posting history that closely haha. The point I made is unchanged whether he commits here or Houston, we will always have to deal with kids wanting to stay closer to home.

Re: New football commit ? Kamari Cotton-Moya

I like how some on here have to question the worthiness of a recruit to choose ISU because of a lack of other "power conference" school offers. Apparently, those people do not realize that 3 of the schools who were also recruting Cotton-Moya........Nevada, Utah State, and Fresno State.......all have more former players currently on NFL rosters than ISU does. And it is not even really close in some cases. Fresno State has 17 , Utah State 8 and Nevada has 10. ISU has 6. Fans of those other schools are probably asking how he could pick ISU over their school if he wants to get to the pros someday.

I'm curious what position these three schools were recruting him to play, especially Nevada. I worked there for about 3 years, including Wolf Pack football games, so was just curious as to what position Chris Ault saw him playing.

Welcome to ISU Kamari. I'm glad you made this choice.

Tell him to ask C'Quilin Hubert how well it worked out for him switching from ISU to TTU. Maybe Hubert can tweet back at him.
