    CSU over UNLV

It was a good game. CSU hits all their free throws at end to seal the game. Had to cheer for ISU connections:

    Larry Eustachy and Wes Eikmeier

Larry improved Southern Miss a tiny bit every year, but looks like CSU will be in the mix for an at large in his first year. The MWC is rating out higher than the Big 12 and SEC so far in rpi.

Was at the game and CSU is tough. Would not want to draw them in tourney. Classic Eustachy. Same vocabulary but more selective when he uses it and he always looks like he is going to vomit during the game. When he picks up a bit more talent they will be Top 20 team. Looking forward to watching him spank Stevie 'The Wonder' Alford again.

I'd pick CSU over New Mexico or San Diego State or UNLV; they've got two-head scratching losses early in the season and barely lost to SDSU in OT. They can score, and they've got a ton of guys that played on a tournament team last year.

It'll be interesting to see how they do next year after losing 4 of their 5 top scorers. Larry made a smart move coming to CSU, knowing that they'd be good this year; I imagine that gives him a few more years of job security if the program doesn't do so hot in the next few seasons.

Not to mention leaving a conference in an epic nose dive (CUSA has become Sun Belt 2.0) for one that's outperforming BCS conferences on a consistent basis now. If it was a hard sell to get kids to come to Southern Miss before, the 'new' CUSA is going to make it impossible.
