How did he play against the center from Ankeny that is going to UNI? I know Ankeny beat them and I don't think it was close.

Ankeny won by 7 and Jok had a good game with 30 points. That said, what does Ankeny having a good center have to do with a 2/3?

Was just going to say this. Have watched him a few times and his best attribute by far is shooting, but he really won't be able to create his own shot in college. I see him as a role player at Iowa. His knees are still a problem and keep him from being top notch.

    Same lateral quickness?

I disagree with the ball handling comment. I saw him play one time in person and I was impressed with his ball skills, for his size he put the ball on the floor pretty well. He is a heck of a long range shooter and has very deep range. The key for him will be how well he can defend on the D1 level. I think he is worth the risk and has a huge upside.

    Re: Jok recruitment

Hoover is the best/most athletic team they've played. Jok had 9 points on 3/11 shooting. Hard to draw conclusions from one game and it may have just been an off night, but it's worth noting. Not at all saying he won't be a damn good player at Iowa, but he still has a long way to go to be some game-changing recruit.

Which means he ends up being 6'5" in college. Hogue fills a need next year more than another Lucca.

Worthy of an offer? Sure, if you are okay with cutting him if it does not work out.

    Re: Jok recruitment

We got a guy that can put up 50 in 20 minutes I am happy with that. Last time I checked that was more than 41 in OT.

    Re: Jok recruitment

My speculation on Jok is that the staff started to think that SDW may fill that role in that class. They had offered some wings, but seemed to cool on most of them once SDW got to campus. I think the staff felt that he would be a legit B12 player, but also a RS.

SDW filling the wing player role they were looking for in that class allowed them the luxury of taking Hogue or another JUCO post.

I'm incredibly excited about what that class of Morris, SDW, and Thomas can do in the backcourt. The future is bright.
