Re: Dallas Morning News: Baylor Coaching Candidates

I would think that from a recruiting standpoint, Singletary would have to be the leading candidate. The guy would obviously have a very good idea of what it takes to play at the next level. I think he's also the leader because he's probably the university's most famous alum. As far as I'm concerned, he's no lower than #2 on the board right now.

I think Singletary's probably the one and only REALISTIC guy (realistically there are just some coaches that won't go there) to turn a program as historically bad as Baylor's around.

Isn't Baylor Mike Singletary's alma mater?

All he'd have to do is talk to a kid about bringing the intensity back to Baylor FB, and then give him "the eyes".

Would definitely be interesting watching Singletary roam the sideline in '09...

Singletary was the undisputed best MLB on Tecmo Bowl. That admission alone should get him the job.

****** Doleman was always waaaay up there, too--not sure where the heck he came from. My boys Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, and Russell Francis could always handle him, though.

Re: Dallas Morning News: Baylor Coaching Candidates

Come to think of it, I believe Dennis Gentry (best kick returner on Tecmo bowl) also was from Baylor. Good lord, Baylor was a manufacturer of powerful TB players.
