I love making up facts too. Coaches pull scholarships all the time for no reason (see SEC football), there's no legal obligation for him to be reinstated.

I suspect that when the team was playing basketball on their own, he was there. Fred obviously made the decision that it was OK if Bubu was part of the team.

I doubt that Bubu is going to get a ton of minutes right now anyway.
Now that you mention it, I have seen him sitting down there by the team. I'm sure the FH can handle the situation. I think my sense of potential disruption came from the combination of how well we are doing without him and that I wasn't even thinking about the real possibility that he will come back. FH is the master of blending players into a team.

Regarding the bolded statmeent: do you realize why some cases don't go to trial? Because it is clear there is not sufficient evidence that the defendant is guilty. Plenty of rape trials go forward on a "he said, she said basis" so if they drop one before trial then the authorities probably feel the plaintiff is innocent.
I'd probably phrase it a little differently. Something like "we may not have enough evidence to present to the jury to get the guilty verdict we think is deserved since Bubu and the victim had a sexual relationship in the past."

Notice I made no mention of guilt or innocence.

Not sure what really happened but just because you let someone tap it once doesn't mean you don't still control the purse strings. Maybe I've watched WAY to many Meredith Baxter Burny movies on Lifetime but sexual crimes of any sort leave me feeling unsettled.

    Re: Bubu reinstated

interesting how this will affect this year.

A positive is the Clyburn at point experiment will likely go away. And Lucious can get a breather.

He can spell both KL and Babb for a few minutes. I think getting spelling Babb for a few minutes and not losing a lot defensively because of it may be almost as important as giving KL a breather.

I don't see how this is even a discussion. Charges were dropped. The legal system had its say and dropped the matter. That's the end.

Bubu is reinstated, just like he should be. As a member of the team, he's entitled to contribute and earn his way onto the court. He can play a nice role for this team, and he's supposed to be welcome to do that.
OJ and CAsey Anthony are innocent too but I think OJ's eligibility is used and Casey doesn't have the quicks to handle the rock (that she used to "kill" her baby with).

If Bubu can help, great. But I think Naz Long is our future, so I hope they prioritize his role and development.

Maybe no mention, but your assumption is clear. Just because there was sex does not mean there was rape, although in today's society, if you are a male, any time you have sex, you are putting yourself at risk of such accusations. Actually, the sex part is not a requisite.

It is not guilty until proven innocent. There is no taint to it.

Here's the thing....we'll never know for sure, but this is what we are left with. Charges were dropped. By all accounts, before this happened, Bubu was thought of as a good kid. If true, he'll learn from this situation and make sure that nothing like it happens again.

And as far as guilty until proven innocent or not guilty until proven otherwise. For every person that gets off for a crime that they DID commit, there is probably at least 1 person that was convicted that didn't commit a crime. If you look at all of the people that have been freed from prison after DNA evidence overturned their conviction, it is mind blowing and scary.

Sadly it is true. My long time friend is an attorney in Chicago and also a raging cyclone fan. He informed me of that prior to the charges being cleared. Pretty messed up, but a lot of laws are.
