I would not trade Georges Niang for Nerlens Noel

I could see why Niang was the the team's MVP, just love the ways he plays.

I see Niang averages more points in lesser minutes then Noel plays for Kentucky if you could believe that!!!!

Noel averages 10 points a game in 30 minutes a game.
Niang averages 11 points a game in 22 minutes a games.

I agree, plus we will likely have Niang for 4 years instead of Noel for 1...

Noel had a good game today. Not as good as Turner's day.

Love the way Georges is playing. Love that he's a cyclone, and can't wait for 4 years of 'em!

I agree. Of course the ceiling on Nerlens is higher but to only have him for one year vs. three/four is enough for me.

Re: I would not trade Georges Niang for Nerlens Noel

If Georges has Morris/Custer/Long, Thomas, and possibly Vaughn as teammates we may not see him for 4 years.. Or any of them for 4 years for that matter.

(I threw Long in there because with his minutes, or lack there of, we're not exactly sure what he's capable of. To me that video of him saying "My goal is a NC" for us was pretty good, and it shows confidence.)

Nerlens is going in the lottery, highly likely top 10. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone involved in NCAA MBB/NBA media that says otherwise. It's a weak draft to begin with. Can't coach his length, can't coach his block timing.

But I'm glad we got a 4 year stud... unless Georges trims down and improves his vertical drastically by his junior year.

Maybe I should rephrase this. Unless he wants to get drafted by a team that likes taking unproven players and end up getting cut becuase he isn't NBA ready. You are kidding yourself if you think he is NBA ready right now.

The great thing is that he brings more than just skill and basketball IQ. He brings enthusiasm. He's a great player to have on the team.

He is a top 5 pick in every publication out. The first round is guaranteed a two year contract and for him that would mean a minimum of 2mill and change a year. No team would cut him.

Re: I would not trade Georges Niang for Nerlens Noel

Realistically 4 years of Niang is insanely more valuable than 1-2 years of Noel, but if we get to the point where we're loaded with talent, as CFH has shown he's capable of doing eventually, a one and done guy could mean a special season.

Re: I would not trade Georges Niang for Nerlens Noel

if we had nerlens instead of georges we would be a top 15 team but good observation. Too bad points per minute isn't the only statistic that matters

Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter.

Built like a new Bird? Runs like a new Bird? Passes like a new Bird? Shoots like a new Bird? Dunks like a new Bird? BBall IQ like a new Bird? Loves the game like a new Bird? Just sayin. Georges reminds of Larry Bird.
