    Here we go again!

Wagner has been here before (Last September) and is one of the best all-around athletes out of MN in years. Remember how close we were to getting MN H.S. star Dahlman? Well Carlie may well rewrite BB records Dahlman set! If we are to be so fortunate to sign this young lady it is because she likes small towns, a crush of crazed fans and a great program. It is early, but believe it or not we have a chance with this super talent as she has stated publicly!

Thanks Chris. Kylee is known to recruiters but not widely to general college fans as a quick, dangerous guard and shooter. Either of these two please but I know it is way early. More info would be great.

Anyone know which AAU teams were in town that was mentioned on the broadcast? Looked like a few of them attended the game.

Re: RECRUITING: Two visitors in the house tonight

I don't follow the Sisters much, and I don't follow recruiting much even for FB and mans bball. But I would think that if a recruit came to Hilton and saw 10k people making noise, that would be one hell of an impression. Would think we'd get just about anyone.

Although I suppose degree choice and relationship with coaches matter more for most of those girls.

Re: RECRUITING: Two visitors in the house tonight

Here are a couple of links I found on Wagner. In June 2012 she said she has wanted to be a Gopher. In December, it says her top two choices are UM and ISU.

    In:
    http://www.southernminn.com/waseca_c...e978fdaea.html (updated)

"I've always kind of grown up kind of wanting to be a Gopher, Wagner said."

    In:
    http://www.southernminn.com/waseca_c...tml?TNNoMobile (updated)

"If the Wagners continue on the track they're on, two years from now Carlie Wagner will be playing Division I basketball somewhere in the U.S (her current top-two choices are the University of Minnesota and Iowa State University) and Marnie and Maddie will enter their sophomore seasons with more than two years of varsity experience, following in the footsteps of their older sister."

cydney your links are not working.

Recruits have a way of saying something that I later see ontradicted. But if Wagner likes small towns Ames is it. If she likes support for WBB ISU has three times the attendance (3,100 vs 9,700/g this year) of the U of M.

MN is off to a good start this year (13-4), but history of long-term success is with Iowa State.

Cascade, what you say makes good sense, but if some of these kids are like my granddaughters, geography/climate will also play a role in their choices.

That is good. I would hate to default the game because the players are hanging out in a sink.

Yeah. Warm spots with lots of diverse distractions and if they have the right degree and a good WBB program.

I am sure there are coaches who are able to recruit sisters of players. And others who have zero chance of recruiting a friend or family member, or even anyone from the high school after a player has completed their time with a program.

    A recent tournament summary:

In McPherson, it was the Northeast portion of the state ruling the night with Manhattan and Olathe South advancing to the championship game.

Manhattan erased an 18-10 hole after the first quarter to beat Andale 49-41. Andale’s Brittany Meyer led all scorers with 17 points, while the Indians spread the scoring around. Darby Price and Caroline Ballard both had double-doubles for Manhattan with Ballard’s 13 points and 10 rebounds and Price’s 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Two of the best girls players in the state got after it, with Olathe South’s Kylee Kopatich winning the day in a 43-35 win over McPherson. Kopatich carried the Falcons with 26 points. McPherson’s Katelyn Loecker had a solid night as well, with 17 points for the Bullpups who came up a little short."
