How possessions are used for ISU and rest of B12

Nothing especially profound with any of this but I thought it was interesting to look at and compare with the rest of the league.

Let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Re: How possessions are used for ISU and rest of B12

Is Iowa State shooting too many threes?

In a nutshell, ISU is currently scoring:
1.0364 points per two point attempt (51.82% x 2pts.) and
    1.0761 points per three point attempt (35.87% x 3pts.).
So they are being marginally more efficient scoring from behind the stripe.

Yes, there is the fewer fouls issue but that is countered by the greater three point threat opening up the interior for better two point looks.

"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr

ISU is really a very good offensive team. Kenpom has us at #23 nationally in adjusted Offensive Efficiency. The said during the Kansas game that we are the only team in the country that has scored 70+ points in every game.
