This game is not all on Fred

Say what you want about your philosophy at the end of the game up 3 (if he misses, we all go crazy and don't care about the coaching), but Fred had a helluva game plan and we wouldn't even have been in the situation if it wasn't for the game plan. Withy was pretty much useless in the game. We were able to get a lot of buckets down low and a lot of open look 3s.

Great game. Let's take out all this frustration on Texas. I was so upset myself I had to go for a walk outside, but will be in full force come Saturday in Hilton.

I completely agree. There were multiple chances to seal the game or at least get a more comfortable lead and we failed to convert.

We missed key FTs in the last 90 seconds. Make one and you win.

I don't mean to sound combative, but this thread doesn't need to exist. Anybody who actually thinks that loss was "Fred's fault" deserves to be ignored.

Completely Agree. Anyone who even mentions Fred could do more doesn't have a brain.

Fred had an excellent game plan, and it worked fantastically. Why didn't we foul? I'm not sure, and that easily lost us the game no question.

I wasn't worried about the Texas game at all until tonight. Hopefully the boys rally.

I agree. It's not as if the strategy to foul is a no-brainer. I would say more times than not, I see coaches elect NOT to foul in that situation.

You never know what is the right outcome until after the game obviously, but with Whithey, I could see how you would not want a put-back opportunity.

Re: This game is not all on Fred

This loss can be attributed largely to refs who simply blew in the last few minutes of regulation, and an unfortunate missed free throw under pressure. OT was awful, but should have never gotten that far. Anybody know the names of the refs in that game? I'm walking over to the Big XII office doorstep and doing some arm-waving and hrumphing, and then I'm gonna teach how to count to 12.
