    I'm actually surprised Knott is that high considering his shoulder. Not good for a LB to have that many problems with it already.

    those are 3rd and 4th round grades respectively.

    Should be interesting what they do at the combine.

    I bet they both end up higher. Knott especially. All anyone needs to do is look at the game film from before and after his injury this year. The defense wasn't even close to the same without him.

    I don't think you meant it this way, but the game film of how he played after his injury will turn a lot of heads leading up to the draft. Guys who play - and play well - through pain are valuable in a tough league like the NFL.

    I don't think there is any concern over Knott's playing ability. I think it is more of an issue of durability. He's a tough SOB but he's had significant injury problems during his career. Teams won't take a risk on a guy that might just keep getting hurt and be out of the league in a few years. If Knott had been lucky enough to avoid injury, he would probably be a second round lock.

    They will take players like that after the third round or so. I agree they wouldn't want to give guaranteed money to a player with a long injury history, but on the second day of the draft teams are evaluating and rating players pretty differently from each other. 1st and 2nd round guys are pretty well known, after that anything can happen.
