    Ski shops in Des Moines

I've got a couple ski trips coming up and I'd like to get my skis waxed and sharpened before I go if possible. Anyone know somewhere in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames that does this?

The Google suggested Play it Again and Sports Authority but I haven't called to see if they actually do maintenance or just sell stuff.

I would bet Sports Authority would able to help.

This. I've had them put Solomon bindings on my skis before.

If you spend about $50 for the supplies you can do it yourself in about 10 minutes.

Scheels is really good at this. I've gone there.

Re: Ski shops in Des Moines

I highly recommend Sports Authority. I took my snowboard there. The cost of a wax and edge of my snowboard was supposed to be $20. The lady at the front desk took me over to a computer printed me a coupon making it FREE...

High marks for customer service. However, I don't know if the coupon is still available. I did need to be in the Sports Authority rewards program to get it. (That program is also free)
