    OSU/KSU

Most pre-conference predictions had these two teams finishing 2 and 3 in the Big 12. I can see why and I probably agree. That said, they are interesting teams. I'm still of the opinion that if you can stop McGruder the KSU offense is pretty weak. OSU plays sloppy, undisciplined ball in the halfcourt but they are phenomenal in transition.

I think we need to play fast against both teams. While I don't like OSU in the halfcourt, they are very athletic and could cause problems for us defensively. I think we need to win a shootout if we're going to win against them. KSU I'd like to see us still try and press because I don't like us rebounding against them. I do think putting Babb on McGruder and doing our best to shut him down is a good strategy.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I'm pretty down on the team but this Cyclone squad is a team with talent and I think we can play with anybody in the conference if everybody has their head on straight.

    Re: OSU/KSU

I pretty much agree with you. I watched that Okie State/K-State game yesterday and came away thinking that Okie State has two stars (Marcus Smart and Markel Brown) whereas K-State has a great player in Rodney McGruder, plus a bunch of role players.

Okie State's two standouts made several highlight reel plays in the game. If you weren't paying attention to the score, you'd think Okie State was leading the whole time just because they looked so much more athletic. I think we'll have a better shot of beating K-State this year than Okie State.

OSU has a player, Philip Jurick, who reminds me very much of our very own Anthony Booker. They are both big, physical forwards whose playing time is limited by their proneness to foul.

both of those teams will drive on us and pound it inside and crush us. we're not good at stopping dribble penetration, and we lack the size/toughness inside. those could be tough games.

    Re: OSU/KSU

Doesn't surprise me okie st was beat even tho they probably had superior talent. Bottom line is they're still inexperienced, and they will struggle on the road.

Winning away from home is gunna be very difficult, unless your playing tech/tcu or your name is Kansas.
