Try being from Sioux County..Land at 3 different auctions last summer went for $19, $21, and $22,000..Crazy, nearly impossible for a young farmer to get into it anymore, barring marrying into it..(Which is my plan hopefully)

There were three tracts for sale - I think it totaled ~375 acres. The land sat right in between the Bill Couser cattle operation and the Swansons who farm a ****ton of dirt up here. Couser had been farming the land for years and it completely pins in the farmstead where he has his feedlot. To add heat to the fire, let's just say that that one of the aforementioned has acted in a rather un-gentlemanly manner and meddled in the sale of some land a couple years ago, resulting in baaaad blood. There was a part of me that wanted to go to the sale today just to watch the fireworks.
"It's a jungle out there kiddies. Have a very fruitful day.
