    Who are your MVP'S?

On offense I'm not really sure. But defensively, I'd have to go with Tuba. Had a great senior year and got better every game. I think he's worked his way into the mid, late rounds of the upcoming draft.

Bowen and Hamilton, probably. Robinson maybe. I think Marquis is our best player on O. I think Tuba tends to get overrated at times simply due to the fact he has a nickname.

    Re: Who are your MVP'S?

I think Bowen still has to be the MVP of the defense, but I certainly can't argue with Tuba. As for offense, I would say either Blythe or Robinson. That is a tough choice because no one was head and shoulders above the rest.

    Blythe 52 rec 779 yds 5TD
    Hamilton 45 rec 534 yds 1 TD

I know Hamilton is a better blocker and Blythe gets a lot of hate, but he is our best offensive player and we don't win those two Big XII games without him.

And Tuba is not overrated. He was clearly our best DL this season.

I think Tuba had a big year on D, and I think Marquis Hamilton had the most consistant season this year on offense. But i think the Oline, being mostly all new starters might have been out offensive MVP"s this year. They were a couple of juniors, sophomores, and a frosh.

Shaggy. Inconsistent as he was, he helped spawn the joke, "How many TDs does it take to beat Iowa? None!"

Bowen, Bowen, Bowen...how can anyone else be MVP. He did it all. In on almost every play on defense, whether a pass or run, he has a nose for the ball. Best special teams player and the true team leader off the field. This guy is something special. Wish he had another year at Iowa State.

I gotta go with A-Rob. May not have had the full season stats, however, without his spark, I don't think we win 2...or even any...Big 12 games.

Arob and Bowen, definetly not Blythe. He played terrbie all year except for a little bit during the colorado game.

If he played terrible, what did you think of Hamilton? Sumrall? Blythe was our best offensive player this season. Did he live up to the expectations he had after his sophomore year? Absolutely not. But he still had a decent season.

    Re: Who are your MVP'S?

Blythe gets my MC@ award. What's that? Most Cussed At. IMO, he dropped more balls, dodged more blocks, and dogged more routes than anyone. He did have by far the most pass interference fake flag throws, though, if that counts for productivity.

On the defensive side, believe it or not, I've been VERY impressed with the play of one Jesse Smith lately. I don't know if I'm ready to crown him with the MVP, but I'm very excited to see him progress under Mean Gene & Co.

Yes, it should count as something. Whether it was his skill or reputation, pass interference calls against Blythe helped us a lot this year.

Amen, Amen, Amen!!! Ace Bowen hands down as overall MVP this year. Definitely the def. MVP. On O, I'd prolly hafta say Todd Blythe. Not the best blocking WR ever downfield, but just straight playmaker for 4 years straight and this year was no difference.

I think our RB's all did some good things throughout the year, but still LOTS of progression needed there, I can't wait to see how they will progress next year.
