Now I see why Bass hasn't played much...

Anyone else notice the play where Bass had two blitzers to choose from to block and went right smack between them? I understand why he hasn't seen much action. We are in desperate need of a running back that can block. I didn't see any on the field tonight.

The first time I saw the play I was unhappy with him. Then when I saw the replay, I realized he had no chance - KU blitzed that play perfectly.

I thought Bass did a very good job of blocking when he was the starter early in the season.

AR is actually quite good at picking up the blitz its just that KU is A LOT better than us. Go back and watch the KSU and CU games. AR picks up a lot of blocks that allowed Meyer/Araund to get the ball off. We were simply over-matched today.

Right...A-Rob has done a great job blocking for Meyer/Arnaud.

Meyer is physically too slow in the pocket (too long of strides to get him going) and too slow at getting the ball out of his hands. I notice that every play he runs takes about a second or two longer to develop than it should. Plays seem to develop quicker with AA.

i agree 100%.............arob is awesome, i've watched him pick up the blitz a lot and if blythe knew how to block as well as arob, i think arob would probably have a 40-50 yard touchdown....

Too bad our receivers couldn't block like KU's receivers. Their receivers were excellent blockers, and sprung their long plays.

Texas Tech receivers are the same as KU. Down field blocking for each other and the get tons of yards after the catch.
