    Talent???

Its apparent in watching the KU/ISU game where the biggest disparity in talent is....our WR catch the ball and appear happy with a 5-7 yard gain. KU wide receivers are all capable of taking it to the house, whens the last time we saw a crossing route go 51 yards for a touchdown...can you say JJ moses..........

I think Hamilton is a very talented guy, and i had high hopes for franklin(BUST so far) we better get some talent out wide or we will forever be beggin for a bowl game....

Defense looks slow compared to KU as well...........

    Re: Talent???

KU also had a huge advantage at QB. The guy has a gimpy leg but is still fast enough to run from our defenders and find the open guys. I was very impressed with Reesing. He reminds me a lot of Chase Daniels and it sucks that he is only a sophomore.

We sure had trouble running the ball. A-Rob took a step back today. Maybe the team should have waited a few more games before giving him a cool nickname... make him earn it.

    Re: Talent???

KU's talent isnt any better, it was their execution and performance on the field. Does that mean Oklahoma's talent is on par with ISU because we played them closer? No, We just didnt come to play today. We just dont play well on the road.

I think his problem was lack of holes. He can keep he nickname for now.

    Talent
KU much more speed at skill positions. Meyer looked slow, back to looking at one receiver. Arnaud throws a great ball, but looked slow against KU. We need faster DBs, receivers and a bruiser of a running back. And a QB that can move. Not sure Austin will fit that bill or not. And we had zero rush on their QB. Looks like a lot of work to do to me.

Your way off - i still ask the same question.....the area that imo we're outclassed is at WR....and its not even close....I know i know about blythes standings in the big 12, but, would you take him over Henry or Jorgey or any other top notch wr we've faced....our wr talent simply does not put the fear into a defense that if he catches a simple route that he might take it to the house..Sorry i love blythe but his two routes have been the fade and the fly.....we need a wr that can take a 5 yd crossing pattern and end up in the end zone regardless of where we are at on the field.....we dont have that now....

Please let Graham be that guy.....

    Re: Talent???

Poor tackling against KU is what bothered me the most, reminded me of the Texas game. Didn't Chizik redshirt half of last years recruiting class?

Every time I go over the KU board, they complain about ISU fans booing, did they ever stop booing even when they were up 31-7?

How was that different than any other game the past two seasons. Meyer is done at ISU and I hope that Arnaud, Bates, or Tiller can step in next year and lead an offense.

KU showed why they are contending for a national championship. I have watched 2 or 3 times this year and they have made everyone look bad. KU is a very good team and I would not be shocked if they run the table and are national champions. I know today was frustrating b/c of the progress ISU has shown, lets face it MAC did not leave GC any talent. The progress we see is off his coaching and the strength / conditioning programs. It may be two seasons away before we see real results, but they will come.

I disagree. The wideouts are our best unit. Meyer backpeddles and takes us out of the play instead of stepping up in the pockect and making the throw or running. We just didn't throw the ball down the field enough. As far as talent goes, DE is the position were we need the most help. No pass rush all season.

I just wish we would have utilized Blythe this season... We had one of the top receivers in the conference and it seems like he never really got a chance to go up and make plays.

KMAC I know you love recruiting... as do I, but did you think Franklin Wallace was the answer last year? Marquis is our future at WR. Juco's like KU's Henry are rare. I wouldnt bank on Christian coming in and being the second coming. Although he should be better than Wallace.

KU got lucky with landing 6'5" Henry as a juco. Fields isnt bad, but without the attention Henry gets, he's nothing special.

Mangino was about ot be fired this year if he went 6-6, he pulled a good season outta his ares a few years ago... other than that, theyve really under achieved.

    Re: Talent???

We'll see how the fighting Mangino's do against Mizzou. I don't think they'll make it out of KC undefeated. Mizzou definitely has a higher talent level, and has played better competition.

Then again, I've been wrong before...
