Husband showed me that this morning - can you imagine explaining that one to the wife?

"Uh, honey, I lost little Timmy."
    "How?!"
    "An eagle got him."

Saw this on reddit, and first thought before seeing it was fake, but I know some of those birds can carry off small dogs. Kind of brazen with a parent right there.

Clonecones got duped! Although I do know that swallows can carry a coconut, so maybe this is plausible.

    An African or European swallow?

Had a similarly terrifying event happen to me...once had a seagull make off with a full sized bag of Doritos at the beach. Wasn't even opened. Son-of-a-***** knew they were Doritos and snatched them.

Re: Golden Eagle PIcks Up Small Child For Lunch

Similar thing happened to my brother while we were speaking to each other on the phone. He was in Yosemite National Park, and had just got his dinner from a little store in the valley, a burrito and a bottle of Dr. Pepper. He had his phone in one hand and his burrito in the other. He set his burrito down for a second, while he opened up his soda, and a raccoon came up and stole it right off the bench next to him.

Hearing it 2nd hand though the phone was one of the odder thing I've ever listened to. I thought he was getting mugged.

The icing on the cake was the fact that the store where he bought it had closed, and nothing else was open, so he had to go without dinner that evening.

It's not exactly like getting your child taken by an eagle, but to hear him scream at that raccoon, you'd never guess it.
