If it is snowing at 2:36 on Friday afternoon it will be the best opener to christmas break ever!

Hell, you'd be surprised how many people will talk to me in person about how they watch me on Channel 8 or 5 or whatever. Not unusual or shocking to get the blame for a forecast you didn't actually make.

Plus it doesn't matter, the loudest complainers are nowhere to be found when the forecast is right. Well, actually that isn't true, they're likely still talking about how we "missed" it.

    Re: Midweek snow storm

Looks like a Winter Storm Watch has been issued basically on a line from Omaha to Green Bay, and 100 miles or so on each side, for Wed - Thurs. Current accumulations forecasted for 6+ inches in the Watch area.

    for example:
... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Wednesday evening through
    Thursday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Wednesday evening through
    Thursday afternoon.

    * Heavy snow could occur in the watch area Wednesday evening through
    Thursday.

    * A total of 6 to 12 inches of snow is possible.

    * Winds of 20 to 30 mph will accompany the heavy snowfall and
    could make travel dangerous.

    * Those traveling or commuting could face dangerous conditions.

    Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.

The best part of the job is reading those European models.

You must have to use 2 pages on your resume?

I see you must be taking a break from your "Best of Ed Hightower" marathon. Stop mocking me and get back to watching.

The part where he calls a block 5 times after blowing the whistle and then poses for the camera is coming up.

Uh...that is pretty much every block he calls inside the 8 minute time out in the second half. He calls them 3 times each before that.

That guy knows how to build the drama as the game goes on, I'll give him that.
