    Jeff Woody

I haven't seen this posted yet.

Did anyone read the letter Woody sent to the DM Register on Sunday? If you haven't yet, you should.

The wife of one of my good friends is a teacher at South East Polk, and taught Woody when he was there, I think in elementary school. She's spoken at length in the past about what an incredibly thoughtful and genuine person he was as a kid, and apparently still is as a man.

Anybody know Jeff's dad's name and if he's the same guy who used to do radio spots on Deace's old show?

Jeff Woody, himself, what a fine representative of the state of Iowa, Iowa State, and Iowa State football!

I do, and he posts on here. I won't give his name, but he is a fellow floor man, so we've talked several times.

Regarding the article, I saw it and kept forgetting to post it. Very thoughtful young man, and a great representative of ISU.

I suppose not giving his name is the right thing, but it is in Jeff Woody's bio at cyclones.com ... and the business is Woody Floors in Pleasant Hill

I'm on twitter @mookjnsn ... me, not her.

How could you not go into flooring with a name like Woody.

Now if he specializes in carpeting instead of hard wood, that would be weird.

I just like the fact that he took the time to write it, and in the letter he said he was writing it at like 1:30 in the morning, which, if true, tells me he genuinely cared. You can't say that about a lot of athletes these days, especially college ones with so many other things going on in their lives.

If Woody's dad does read this board, he should know he raised someone that represents himself, the university and the cardinal and gold very well.

It is not the same guy who did movie reviews with Deace. His kids went/go to Roosevelt.

    Re: Jeff Woody

Two things stand out. The kid didn't thow around "I'm a big deal at Iowa State", which he could have. And he's a much better writer than other writers on that board! Nice job woody!
