Getting rep Vs. getting a like

Which do you prefer? It seems that since we got the 'Like' button, rep has kind of gone away

rep translates to the "points" total, but agree the likes have taken over using it

A like. Rep is kind of pointless because really bad posters just give rep to other really bad posters, so it doesn't help at all in telling you if somebody is a quality poster.

No thank you. I have no idea where your rep has been.

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Must spread rep.

I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. During the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
“Because,” says the Lord, “Sandpeople always ride single-file, to hide their numbers.”
