Where did you buy your tickets from?

Thought this may give an idea of how many extra fans outside of the 13k sold through ISU. Compare % and do math and from this small sampling of fans we can get an estimate of total tickets sold.

I know there are a billion other factors in determining a more accurate estimate, but i'm bored and if you are reading this, you are probably bored too.

Four ISU fans with free tickets through a vendor in Memphis who works with my buddy. Section 120, 50 yard line row 9.

guess i should not have put the third option there as that messes up the % of isu ad, versus third party tickets.

I finished Calculus at ISU so I will take the liberty of crunching those numbers for you.

Also, I am shocked that so far about 25% of tickets are from 3rd parties, especially on here where the percentage through the AD would be higher (you would think) due to posters knowing the importance of buying through the AD.

This surprised me as well. We might have even more cardinal and gold than I expected!

So if this sampling were to hold true across cyclone nation and we sell 14k through the AD, that puts us at 17,500 total cyclone fans there. 14,000X1.25 (25%)=17,500 right? never made it into calc.

and as someone pointed out, there is probably a higher likelyhood of people outside of the realm of cyclonefanatic going through 3rd parties. I'm sure the constant promotion and pressure from posters on here to go through our AD changed some people's minds.

Re: Where did you buy your tickets from?

    3 from ISU AD.

Also found out today a buddy (MU Grad) might meet me in Memphis for the game. Add one more, but probably will buy it from another source. He'll be wearing cardinal and gold though.

Re: Where did you buy your tickets from?

For those that dont donate or get their tickets through donors, even though the ISU AD benefits from it going through them, for those people its often beneficial to buy through the bowl instead of being last on the priority list for tickets in ISU's allotment, so i cant blame those who do. Its not like for many they wont see 'iowa' on the order and put 2+2 together, or see the requests to be on the ISU side. I'm betting with 13,000+ sold through the AD we see 20k ISU fans in memphis, as this site tilts more towards the end that is more likely to be donors or especially wants to support the AD.

Re: Where did you buy your tickets from?

Could have 20,000 in cardinal & gold at the game. Tulsa fan expects what, 7-8,000? Local Memphis community will bring 20-25,000.

47,000-53,000 total, probably right around 50K with 40% Cyclone fans at the game.
