    Burnham Vs. 1-D teams

From what I have heard, it sounds to me like Tulsa turned into a slightly one dimensional team that likes to run the football?
The last time we faced a run happy offense (Kansas), I feel like A) We were able to lock it down, and B) create a good amount of fumbles.
Given the month to prepare, good ol Wizard Burnham should be able to effectively make Tulsa be out of their comfort zone and be forced to throw more passes.
    Thoughts?

Yeah I realize now that people might think I'm using a roundabout way to say D-I. Whoops.

    Thanks.

Generally Wally does well against one dimensional teams. However, the run defense has suffered, with the injure defensive backs, and Jake gone. I don't think that A.J. has adjusted quickly to the weakside, so hopefully some additional time there will help. As well, for Jeremiah in the middle.

I'm was a bit confused by the whole weakside thing. Why was it necessary to move him out of position like that? Would it not have been better to keep him in his natural position and fill the weakside spot with someone else?

Broomfield is strictly a SLB/S so it's a matter of getting Broomfield on the field instead of Jevohn Miller or Matt Morton.

With the (huge) exception of Knott, I hear our D will be 100% healthy for the game. That's huge. We were really banged up the last 3 weeks.

Jeremiah George is strictly a MLB. That meant that A.J., whom CPR has said can play all three slots, had to slide outside.

CPR mentioned earlier this week that one of them was starting to work out, and he expected the other to be cleared by the weeke--er, now. Hope that helps. I don't remember for sure which was which--I think it's Jansen that's working out now.

    Re: Burnham Vs. 1-D teams

I guess I wasn't concerned about the defense. Like some have pointed out they were pretty banged up the last few weeks, but should make a return with the exception of Knott.

I guess I am still concerned about the offense but hopefully the layoff will give SR some time to prepare and improve his game.

We have been made to appear 1 dimensional by quite a few teams and its not because we chose to be.

SR looked fine in his limited reps, plus, we still have Jantz who put up 38 against Tulsa.
