    WVU surprises me.

    WVU surprises me.
WVU has fewer opponents near them now where past oppenents were able to easily travel to WVU for away games in the BE. Pitt, Cincy, Louie, etc, were all able to travel to Morgantown really easy for a Saturday game. In the Big 12, not so easy for the Texas/OK/Kansas/ISU teams.

No kidding! Just when you think their attendance couldn't possibly be any lower, they have fewer people show up. Just imagine how big the Tarp will be in their new stadium!

Remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Until further notice, the Big 12 tournament is best. There's an experience here. Not just the teams -- the feel, the vibe, the establishments. Iowa State not only won the pregame -- filling the nearby Power & Light District -- it won the whole damn scene.

    Re: 2012 Big 12 Attendance

I think a small stadium packed with people is way more intimidating to play at than a huge stadium with terrible attendance. We don't need the SEZ quite yet, but I hope to see it in the works soon if our numbers continue to rise. The new stadium for Baylor is just plain idiotic. Fill your current stadium first.

Our numbers can't rise. The big games that sell out can't sell any additional seats; there's none left to sell. Even if we sell out the smaller games the numbers won't be enough to bring the average up much. It's time to add capacity.

Remember they lost 5 in a row after rising into the top 5...that will kill attendance nearly everywhere.

If you think about that, it IS crazy...and pretty good testament to our AD and our fan base. 9th team out of 10 in w/l for the league too. Imagine if we were in the upper half?

I think from a recruiting standpoint, this is big as well. Yes, it's cold here, yada, yada...but I think this shows recruits we are just as serious about football, if not more, than most of the Big 12.

We're trying to increase butts in the seats, not decrease them. A moderate rise is always in order (I'm in sales), but we need to keep our priorities in mind here and our priority is more Cyclone fans and more Cyclone fans at the games; not just richer ones.

Capacity of K-State's is 50,000 after their renovations.
