Re: If you were the #1 recruit in the country...

At first I was sure I'd go to Alabama or LSU because of all the incredible stadiums playing in the SEC would bring.

Then somebody brought up USC. Being the starting QB of a championship level USC team might be the best gig in all of college sports. That would be my choice.

Re: If you were the #1 recruit in the country...

Growing up in the 80's here is where I would have gone...

Football: Auburn - Because I would have loved to play on the same team as Bo Jackson! **even though my mom went to LSU and I am a casual LSU fan I still would still have to say Auburn.

Basketball: NC State - Jimmy V. What an inspiration! "Don't give up...don't ever give up!"

Wrestling: Oklahoma State - couldn't put eiu down just because...

Cyclone fan since 1964 and proud of it!

Re: If you were the #1 recruit in the country...

Basketball. As a senior McD would have been coach at ISU so not even sure I would go there if it was an option.
I would probably try and go somewhere like Texas because it's warm and I can still come back and play in the midwest several times freshman year then go pro. If at ISU think I would stay a few more years instead of 1 and done.

Basketball- Definitely Michigan State to play for Izzo. Anything else would be Stanford though. That would be an awesome school to go to.

baseball, commit to South Carolina, then go pro and take my signing bonus and spend it on blow and hookers

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.
