    2 New Mobil Radar Units

    http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/d...nclick_check=1

Windsor Heights now has two mobile radar units they will be using. Warnings issued until mid January. No word on how fast over the limit you will need to go to trigger a ticket.

Re: 2 New Mobil Radar Units

    A couple of things:

#1 It looks like they are starting out in residential areas. I would be very surprised if a lot of people got tickets for 11+ over in these areas. With the reputation of WH, I can't imagine someone driving 11+mph over in residential areas. I wouldn't be surprised if this is lowered to 5mph over within a year.

#2 The big stink is going to be when they put these out on 235, which they've said they will do. I have a feeling the DOT isn't going to be very happy about this after they denied them the right to put fixed cameras out there. Also, where are they going to put them? I don't think it's safe to put them in the breakdown lane.
