Fred Hoiberg is an average coach

Way above average recruiter, definitely, to be able to get such good players to come here. (Fact is, our history isn't THAT good) But he is average at best at coaching. Until that changes (perhaps with more experience), he will get out-coached a lot.

So frickin jealous of what they have in Ames. It's truly amazing what Fred has done coming in with 0 coaching experience.

The Internet doesn't have enough asterisks to describe what I think of this thread.

So that is the cause of tonight's debacle?

The sky is the limit. We are trying to win every game. We are going to try to get to that big stage, the Final Four, and play on. Morris (May 2014)
If you take a look at this group, were extremely talented 1-15. We have a lot of talented guys in this locker room all guys who are willing to put their agendas aside to win. That separates good teams from great teams. Niang (Oct 2014)

Re: Fred Hoiberg is an average coach

lol, nothing like a good meltdown. And the game isn't even over.

This is the first time I've seen this team play all year and honestly, I don't think it has as much to do with coaching as we have a mediocre team this year. Watching this game, it's plain and simple, we make too many turnovers, we can't catch a pass and we aren't very good at shooting.

I was actually going to suggest this to Clones21 for his meltdown thread, but now I'm going to have to go with "Are We a Football School Now?"

    About the same.

You may just be emotional. You may just be an idiot. Either way, this isn't your night.
