NFL Coverage Map - Iowa Divided into 3 Games

Interesting coverage map for Sunday's NFL CBS coverage as different regions will get 3 different games. The KC game I can see...wonder why the other two regions are split between the Steelers/Chargers or the Ravens/Redskins games? Who makes those decisions? NFL or local channel?

Re: NFL Coverage Map - Iowa Divided into 3 Games

The local affiliates make their own decisions on which game to broadcast. So, it looks like the CBS in Omaha, Des Moines, and Cedar Rapids all had different thoughts.

I don't disagree...the Steelers/Chargers game isn't a bad game either but I wonder why parts of Iowa get each game? No direct connection really to either game. Not complaining...just wondering how the process plays out?

Re: NFL Coverage Map - Iowa Divided into 3 Games

What is the reasoning on why CBS and FOX switch each week who has 2 games v. 1 game per week? I think it sucks like this.... just give us 2 games on both channels every week...... SMH

Someone probably thought Nade Kaeding was still kicking for the chargers.

From a Bear prespective, today's game is for all the marbles.

Win- 90% assured of the playoffs

Lose- 90% assured of no playoffs

It doesn't surprise me at all that the Steelers game is being shown in the Quad Cities. You would believe how many Pittsburgh River Rat fans infest that area.

The Ravens/Redskins will be a nice game to watch between commercials of the Vikings. I hate when they have bad games on CBS

No, Jay Cutler doesn't suck. The Bears' offense does good things when he's in the game. The problem with Cutler is he's more fragile than Glass Joe, which means he's not in the game too often.

Agreed. Even last week, Cutler played very well and the Bears still lost, so I'm curious how the haters blame him on that one.

As a fan who lived through Jonathan Quinn and others, Cutler is the best QB to be in Chicago since McMahon. That may not say a lot about the Bears QBs over the past 30 years, but he is more a lightning rod for his demeanor than this play.

EDIT: Yikes, going through McMahon's stats, they really don't look good. Let's say since Erik Kramer had the one good year? The main point is that Cutler really has done a good job for the Bears as much as many people seem to hate him.
